Recipe: Potato Cream Cutlet
Delicious cutlets can be made with simple ingredients as potatoes, onions and the milk cream that we generally tend to throw away. Try out this simple recipe.
3 large boiled potatoes
1 large onion chopped
1 green chilli chopped
½ cup fresh cream (malai)
1 tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
½ tsp ginger garlic paste
1tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp oil (mustard/olive)
1 tsp butter
3 tsp chopped cashew
2 tsp raisins
Mash the potatoes till they acquire a smooth texture.
Heat oil in a pan. Add green chilli, onions and cook on high flame till the onions become brown. Now lower the flame and add ginger garlic paste, tomato ketchup, cashew, raisins, salt, black pepper powder and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Now add potatoes and cook till they blend well with the spices. Now remove from fire. Take spoonfuls of mixture in hand, form round balls, make a depression in the middle, pour cream, seal and flatten. Do the same with the rest of the mixture.
Now sprinkle butter on the cutlets and grill. Serve hot with green chutney and onion rings.
Note: If you are not diet conscious, you can also dip the cutlets in cornflour batter and deep fry.
