Recipe: Rose and coconut chikki

Enjoy the healthy and delicious rose and coconut chikki.


1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup liquid glucose
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup grated dry coconut
1 tsp oil
1 tsp ghee
Few drops of rose essence
1/4 cup dry rose petals
1 tsp gulkand


Dry roast the almonds and grated coconut in microwave for 1/2 minute. Now grease the rotating pin (belan) with ghee.
Also, grease the surface where you will make chikki with ghee.
Now heat 1/2 tbsp of ghee and 1tsp oil in a kadhai and add sugar to this.
Sauté sugar till it has a sauce like consistency. Add liquid glucose. Now add almonds and coconut to this mix.
Add rose petals, gulkand and rose essence.
Spread on thr greased surface.
Now rotate flatten with the rotating pin to have a thickness of 1 inch.
Cut marks to have in desired size before getting cool. Cut and serve.
