Recipe: Saunf Elaichi Ka Jaljeera

Dop try this refreshing Sauf elaichi ka jaljeera.


1/2 cup thick variety saunf
2 black cardamoms
4 green cardamoms
1 litre water
4 tsp jaljeera powder
Juice of two lemons
6 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
1/2 cup boondies


Clean and wash the saunf. Soak it over night in water, in earthenware pot.

In the morning boil it with same water with both the cardamoms for 5-7 minutes. Drain the water. (Dry the saunf in sun and use it later in another dish)

Mix Jaljeera powder, juice of two lemons, sugar, salt to taste and boondies in saunf water.

Keep in refrigerator to cool. When cold enough serve it.
