Recipe: Simi’s Yummy Mushroom Pate

Savour this healthy and delicious mushroom recipe.


1 tsp oil
1 tsp garlic (crushed)
1 packet mushrooms (button)
5-6 stems of spring onions
1 packet cheese spread
¼ tsp salt
Fresh pepper


Heat oil in a pan and add garlic to it. Sauté for a couple of minutes
Add the chopped opinions to it (chop it all, including the green stem).
Add the diced mushrooms to it. Depending on how thick you prefer your pate, dice or chop mushrooms and onions.
Sauté for a couple of minutes and add the cheese spread to it and turn off the heat.
Mix well and keep refrigerated. Serve on bread/toast/crackers or with pasta.
