Recipe: Sooji Halwa

Try out this easy to make dessert.


• 11/2 cup Sooji (Semolina)
• 1 cup Ghee
• 1 cup Sugar
• 2 cups Water
• 2 small Cardamoms (crushed)
• 1/2 cup Raisins
• 5-6 Almonds (chopped)


• In a pan, mix sugar and water. Bring it to boil
• In a kadai, fry sooji in ghee till slightly golden in color.
• Add raisins, cardamom, and almonds.
• Now, add water mixture to sooji. Be careful, to avoid lump formation.
• Stir and cook till ghee separates from the mixture.
• Serve hot.
