Recipe: Tasty Veg Halim

Check out the sizzling veg halim with piping hot tandoori roti.

Ingredients:

Soya chunks, soaked in hot water & squeezed) ¼ cup
Chana dal, soaked in water for 3-4 hrs ¼ cup
Yellow moong dal ¼ cup
Tomato puree ¼ cup
Catch garam masala 1 ½ tsp
Chopped onion ½ cup
Haldi powder 1 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves ½ cup
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Pure ghee ¼ cup
Ginger paste 1tsp
Milk 2 cup
Red chilly powder 1tsp
Water ½ cup
Dhania powder 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Kitchen king powder 1 tsp
Whole jeera 1 tsp
Tej patta 2 leaves

Procedure:

Put ghee in pressure cooker, add jeera & heat when it starts spluttering add chopped onion.

When onion becomes pink add ginger, garlic paste & both the dals.

Fry for 3 minutes & then add dhania, haldi,garam masala, red chilly powders & kitchen king masala stir & mix well & add tomato puree.

Fry for 2 min add half coriander leaves , milk, soya chunks, water &salt.

Close the cooker & let it cook till 2-3 whistles.

Open the cooker , mix well garnish with remaining coriander leaves & Serve hot with tandoori roti or paratha.
