Recipe: Vada

Enjoy your breakfast with piping hot vada with sambhar.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 cup urad dal
1 onion
2 tsp coriander
1 green chilli
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp baking soda

Procedure:

Soak urad dal and moong dal for 2-3 hours.

Grind urad and moong dal into a coarse paste.

Add finely chopped onion, salt, coriander powder, chilli powder or green chilli, ginger and soda.

Mix well and set aside for 4-5 minutes.

Fry small spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil.

Serve piping hot with sambhar or coconut chutney.
