Recipe: Vegetable roll

Maida dough for making 2 rolls

2 boiled and mashed potatoes

1 medium sized beetroot (grated)

1 green chilli (chopped)

1 onion (sliced)

Tomato ketchup

Chilli sauce (optional)

Chaat masala

½ tsp coriander powder

½ tsp jeera powder

½ tsp chilli powder

Oil for cooking

Salt to taste


Mix the mashed potato, grated beetroot, chopped chilli and the masala well. Add salt and mix it again. Now make 2 tikkis of equal size and shallow fry them in a tawa.

Then roll the two peda made of maida dough and cook them on a tava. Add oil to cook the maida parantha. Flip it and cook the other side.

Now, place the tikkis in the centre of each of the maida paranthas. Flaten them. Add some sliced onions and tomato ketchup and chilli sauce (optional). Serve hot.
