Vrat: Puttu

Relish the mouth watering unusual and easy to make recipe.

Ingredients:

2 cups - rice powder
1/2 cup - grated coconut
Water as required
Salt to taste

Procedure:

Add water in a puttu vessel and heat it.
Take some grated cocunut and spread it at the bottom of the cylindrical portion of the puttu vessel.
Then fill this container to half its capacity with wet rice powder.
Again spread some cocunut grating
Add wet rice powder.
Finally steam cooks this mixture with a covered lid for 5 to 8 minutes.
Remove the contents to a plate.
Serve it hot.
