Winter Special: Coconut Sesame Laddu

To beat the winter chill just loads of warm clothes are not sufficient. Our body also needs special foods to compensate for the energy loss. So try out this recipe and fortify yourself against the icy winds.


I cup grated coconut
1 cup white sesame
1 cup jaggery
4 tsp grated ginger
1 cup khoya
¼ cup ghee


Roast sesame seeds and keep aside. Heat ghee in a pan and add coconuts. Sauté till they become brown. Now add Khoya and sesame and cook further. Add grated jaggery and ginger in the end. Now after stirring on high flame for 5 minutes or till the jaggery melts, remove the mixture from fire and make into laddus. Store in an airtight container.
