`Clash of the Titans` sequel on the cards

Los Angeles: A sequel to fantasy film `Clash of the Titans` is on the cards with Warner Brothers signing two scribes to pen the screenplay.

Leslie Johnson had written last summer`s `Orphan` and Dan Mazeau worked on scripts for `Jonny Quest` and `The Flash`.

The studio hasn`t set a director or a release date for the sequel yet but most of the cast, including actor Sam Worthington, is expected to reprise his turn as Perseus, Variety reported online.

However French director Louis Leterrier, who helmed the first film, has decided not to return for the sequel.

The first film was a huge blockbuster raking in more than USD 500 million, partly due to a strong turnout of audiences in the International market.

Though the first film was converted to 3D, the sequel will be shot completely using the technique.
