The Fox film got a boost from many of novel`s women fans who made a whopping 82 per cent of the audience, making it a surprise summer hit. Last week`s No 1, Angelina Jolie-starrer `Maleficent`, another movie that got a boost by a largely female audience, was pushed to the second spot with USD 33.8 million, toppling Cruise`s sci-fi saga, which came third with USD 29.1 million over its first three days. `Fault` was made on a budget of USD 12 million `Edge of Tomorrow` cost nearly 180 million to Warner Bros and Village Roadshow.
