Alan Alda to star in Nicholas Sparks adaptation `The Longest Ride`
Washington: Alan Alda is set to star in Fox 2000`s ` The Longest Ride`, which is an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks bestselling 2013 novel.
The film, who`s scripting was done by Craig Bolotin, Brad Desch, Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, will be helmed by George Tillman Jr with Temple Hill`s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen producing along with Theresa Park, reports said.
The story follows a man who`s trapped in a car crash on a remote road, and reflects on his life drifting in and out of consciousness, meanwhile, another romance between a young art history major and a handsome bull rider, takes place few miles away.
The 78-year-old actor will play the injured man, where Jack Huston will play his younger version in the flashbacks, while Scott Eastwood and Oona Chaplin portray the other young couple.
