London: Actor Ben Affleck is in talks to play the lead in Director Baz Luhrmann`s big screen adaptation of famous novel "The Great Gatsby".Affleck will play the role of Tom Buchanan, actress Carey Mulligan`s drunk and cheating husband in the movie. The star cast also includes Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, reports express.co.uk.
According to Deadline.com, Affleck, who is currently preparing to direct Iranian hostage film Argo, is trying to clear his schedule.
