Boredom led Michael Keaton to quit Hollywood

London: Actor Michael Keaton quit the world of showbiz at the prime of his career because making movies "bored" him.

The 58-year-old actor, who is best known for playing the lead role in `Batman` and `Batman Returns`, took an extensive career break after losing enjoyment in his work, which led to him passing on movies which went on to be massive successes, a news daily reported.

"One reason is, I got bored. I felt I was repeating myself and wasn`t having a lot of fun doing what I used to have fun doing. So I was always selective to a fault and not doing things which maybe I should have done," Keaton said.

However, Keaton was a happy man when he was asked to voice Ken in `Toy Story 3` as the actor is a huge fan of Pixar`s movies.

"I saw some Pixar movies like `The Incredibles` and thought, `This is extraordinary. These are some of the best movies I`ve seen`. So when I got the opportunity to do this, obviously I said yes," Keaton said.
