Brad Pitt became obsessed with ‘Moneyball’ during filming
London: Brad Pitt has revealed that he became obsessed with ‘Moneyball’ while filming it.
After four frustrating years of bringing the true-life baseball drama to the big screen, the 47-year-old actor has finally completed it.
It is a true story of how a baseball team with little money to spend and no star players, achieved major-league success by defying conventional baseball wisdom.
The movie is based on the book ‘Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game’ by Michael Lewis
“I became obsessed with the book and what the guys in Oakland did in re-imagining the game – like questioning religion in a way,” the Telegraph quoted the actor as saying.
“It’s about how we value things: how we value each other, how we value ourselves and how we decide who’s a winner based on those values.
“The film questions the very idea of how to define success.
“The players these guys hired thought of themselves as failures and suddenly they were given the opportunity to play, proved worthy and changed the game,” he added.
