Cara Delevingne wants `Star Wars` role

London: Supermodel Cara Delevingne has reportedly urged her actor friend Domhnall Gleeson to help her land a role in the new `Star Wars` film.

The 21-year-old model and budding actress is said to be a fan of the popular sci-fi saga and has pressed Gleeson, who is to star in the new installments of the franchise, to put in a good word for her, suggest reports.

"Cara is a huge fan of `Star Wars`. She became very envious when she heard the unknown actress Daisy Ridley had managed to land a role," a source said.

"But there are still plenty of parts yet to be cast, as Domhnall has assured her, and she`s desperate for one - no matter how small."

The beauty has been boosting her acting career over the last year with roles in TV drama `Timeless` and British film `Kids in Love`, which also stars BAFTA winner Will Poulter.
