Los Angeles: Actress Cate Blanchett is the latest A-lister to join the voice cast of `How to Train Your Dragon 2`, along with Djimon Honsou and Kit Harington.
The 44-year-old Oscar-winning actress will play a character called Vilka, who dedicates her life to rescuing dragons from enslavement in the DreamWorks animation film, which is set for a 2014 release, reported E! online.
The latest addition to the star-studded cast - which also includes Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera and Kristen Wiig - was announced at the first day of the Comic-Con convention in San Diego, California.
`Game of Thrones` actor Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the smash HBO series, will also make his voice-acting debut as the Dragon Prince, the self-described greatest dragon trapper in the world.
`How to Train Your Dragon` was a major critical and box office success in 2010. In addition to the 2014 sequel, DreamWorks has confirmed a third movie for release in 2016.
