Christopher Nolan won`t make fourth Batman film

Director Christopher Nolan says he would not make more Batman film after `The Dark Knight Rises`.

Los Angeles: Director Christopher Nolan says he would not make more Batman film after `The Dark Knight Rises`.
While attending the Producers Guild of America`s "Produced By" conference, Nolan explained why he refused to create the fourth Caped Crusader film and opened up about how he built the film series, reported Ace Showbiz. "No. I don`t want to hold anything back. I always envisioned the Batman tale as a trilogy, resulting in `Batman Begins`, `The Dark Knight` and `The Dark Knight Rises`," Nolan said. The director credited Richard Donner`s `Superman` as his major inspiration for writing rather than the DC comics stories. "I explained the potential of what was exciting to me. There really had not been an origin story about this extraordinary figure in an ordinary world," he added. Nolan`s third and final Batman film, `The Dark Knight Rises`, will arrive in cinemas across the US on July 20. It will bring back Christian Bale as the lead superhero, while Tom Hardy is set to portray major villain Bane. IANS
