London: Danny Boyle has said that he is hoping to start filming the sequel to his hit movie ‘Trainspotting’ in 2016.
The 56-year-old director said if scriptwriter John Hodge, who wrote ‘Trainspotting, could produce a decent script, he would be able to get the member of the original cast involved, including Ewan McGregor, Sky News reported. Boyle told cinema site The Playlist that the movie will be based on ‘Trainspotting’ author Irvine Welsh’s own sequel, ‘Porno.’ The original film follows a group of heroin addicts in an economically depressed area of Edinburgh in the late 1980s and their passage through life. In the film, McGregor played Mark “Rents” Renton, Ewen Bremner was Daniel “Spud” Murphy, Robert Carlyle appeared as Francis “Franco” Begbie and Welsh also made an appearance, playing Mikey Forrester.
