Darren Aronofsky to direct film on George Washington
Los Angeles: ‘Black Swan’ director Darren Aronofsky is set to direct a high-profile movie project about George Washington called ‘The General’.
The 43-year-old filmmaker is also tapped to produce the movie which will not be a straight historical drama, reported Ace Showbiz.
The film is being developed at Paramount Pictures. Story details of the film are still kept secret.
In addition to the film about the United States` first president, Aronofsky is closed to helm Biblical epic "Noah", which has cast Russell Crowe as the titular prophet.
He will also direct a Judy Garland biopic ‘Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland’, which has tapped Anne Hathaway as the titular actress and Jacqueline Kennedy biopic "Jackie", which has Rachel Weisz as the female lead.
