Director used body double to complete Lindsay Lohan starrer

Los Angeles: Director Chris Sivertson had to use a body double to complete his film `I Know Who Killed Me` because actress Lindsay Lohan would often fail to show up for work.

The film was a flop and now the director admits that Lohan`s personal problems turned a one-month shoot into a four-month headache, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"Most days we wouldn`t know what happened (with her). We just found out that day. At some point it became, `How can I complete the movie?` That was my one and only goal - not to have it fall apart."

Sivertson admits that the `Meangirls` star wasn`t even present when he filmed her two characters` climactic scenes in the thriller.

The director says he shot the scene with a body double and then grafted on Lohan`s face in post-production.

The 2007 film flopped critically and commercially, making just USD 7 million at the box office. Lohan`s career has been on decline for the past three years. The actress is now more famous for the wild, partying ways and fight with on-off lover Samantha Ronson.
