Disney to remake ‘Snow White and Seven Dwarves’ as warrior flick

London: Disney is reportedly turning the legendary cartoon ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’ into a warrior action movie based in China.

However, the twist in the film is that it will not focus on the princess and instead will follow the seven companions, reinterpreted as 19th century warriors.

Each of the dwarves will be from a different part of the world with a different fighting style, reports the Daily Mail.

The story line-up suggests that their eventual redemption comes in after meeting White, who is fleeing from her evil stepmother.

Natalie Portman appears to be the forerunner to play White in the movie that has been titled as ‘The Order of the Seven’.

Disney has been working on the project since 2002 in an effort completely to rework the 1937 classic.

Production for the film is planned for next year and it is expected to be released in 2013.
