Felicity Jones to star in film on Howard Hughes
New York: Warren Beatty has chosen Felicity Jones to play the female lead in a film on reclusive industrialist Howard Hughes.
Beatty, who has been developing the project for a long time, is mobilising its financing, the Deadline reported.
Jones, whose breakthrough role was in `Like Crazy`, will play a young woman who develops a relationship with Hughes`s young driver and confidante, before she falls in love with Hughes.
Beatty, who has written the script, will direct and play Hughes in the movie.
The film, which Beatty has been working on for years, is expected to start production sometime next year.
It is not the first big screen attempt to look at the mysterious life of Hughes, who is as famous for his many eccentricities as for his role as an aviator, engineer, film producer, director and philanthropist.
Hughes, who himself produced films like `The Racket`, `Hell`s Angels`, `Scarface` and `The Outlaw`, has inspired many movies roles besides being the subject of Martin Scorsese`s award-winning film `The Aviator` and Richard Gere starrer `Hoax`.
