London: Director Bobby Farrelly is keen to have funnyman Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels for the sequel of their 1994 hit `Dumb and Dumber`.
The director is planning a sequel, which will reunite the original cast, because of its popularity among young people.
Farrelly had also produced the comedy, which revolves around the intellectually-challenged duo Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, with his brother Peter Farrelly, Contactmusic reported.
"The generation of kids sort of seen over and over and over is `Dumb and Dumber`. Kids will come up and be able to quote lines from what I`ve long forgotten. So, that ball is in motion. We`re starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing now," he said.
"Maybe if we got those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that might be a worthwhile sequel. Basically, 20 years later in life and hopefully, I will be able to come up with something that`s worthy of a sequel," he added.
The Farrelly brothers, who also produced and directed `There`s Something About Mary` and `Me, Myself and Irene`, have already done a prequel of the movie titled `Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd` in 2003, although it didn`t star the film`s original cast.
