Guy Ritchie to make `Sherlock Homes` sequel in 3D

London: Guy Ritchie has revealed that he will shoot the sequel to his `Sherlock Holmes` adventure in 3D.

Madonna`s ex-husband is making a script that will make the most of the new craze for the technique, inspired by `Avatar` and `Up`.

Ritchie is even hiring some of the crew who worked on James Cameron`s Avatar to administer the 3D effects.

"You can`t help feeling that 3D is now being used on any old film as a gimmick. But when it is planned from the start, rather than bolted on later, the results can be spectacular," a news daily quoted Ritchie as saying.

"I was a big fan of the first Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law," he added.
