London: Pop star Cheryl Cole is a hot property on the small screen and has the potential to make it big on the silver screen as well, according to producer Harvey Weinstein.
The 59-year-old movie mogul, whose `Shakespeare in Love` won him an Oscar, admitted that Cole, 27, who became the new judge on the US version of `X-Factor` has caught his eye, reported the Daily Mail online.
"I want to put Cheryl Cole in one of my films. I`ve heard all about her, she is getting a lot of buzz in the States with US `X Factor`. She`d sure make a great leading lady. She has a very interesting life story, I`m told," said Weinstein.
But the renowned producer, who is yet to meet the British singer, has said that the dream project will have subtitles for the US audiences who might struggle with the broad Geordie dialect that Cole has.
"I`ve been looking for her all over the festival. I even invited her to my party but she couldn`t come, so hopefully when we`re back in the States we can talk," added Weinstein.
The Hollywood bigwig has also given box-office smashes with actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman.
