Mumbai: Hollywood director Hugh Hudson and Bond movie `Tomorrow Never Dies` maker Roger Spottiswoode will be the jury members of the 13th Mumbai Film Festival.
The two will head the international competition sections along with Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer `The 6th Day` director Jerzy Skolimowski and Korean filmmaker Na Hong-Jin.
Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal is the chairman of the film festival.
"Mumbai Film Festival is committed to showcase the best in cinematic talent. It has been a long and extremely fruitful journey. We are happy to welcome the eminent jury members and play host to them. We are also happy that the Indian entertainment industry has shown us tremendous support," Benegal said.
Filmmaker Basu Chatterjee who has directed cult films such as `Gudgudee`, `Chameli Ki Shaadi`, is the chairman of the Harmony Celebrate Age Jury.
Dimensions Mumbai which is the competition section for short films by the youth of Mumbai will be will be headed by `Dhobi Ghat` director Kiran Rao, Vikramaditya Motwane of `Udaan` fame, Nishikant Kamat director of Mumbai Meri Jaan, Onir, and Renuka Shahane.
"We are delighted to have such an esteemed panel of industry professionals as our jury members. We will soon be announcing the complete lineup for the festival," said S Narayanan, the director of the film festival.
A Reliance Entertainment initiative, the festival is organised by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), a body comprised of Indian film industry stalwarts which was founded in 1997 by late Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
