Hugh Jackman demanding to keep shirt on this time in ‘Les Miserables’

Washington: Hugh Jackman plans to keep his clothes on in his new movie ‘Les Miserables’ fearing that people are going to joke he “demanded” to be partially nude in his contract.

The Australian actor - who is playing the part of Jean Valjean in the eagerly anticipated Tom Hooper-directed musical – wont budge from his decision as he is keen to change people’s perception of him.

“One of the first scenes actually shows him in the prison camp that he’s in, being punished and whipped, and stuff like that” Contactmusic quoted him as telling

“I said, ‘I can tell you right now, if you have me with my shirt off, people are going to say, ‘You were just doing what Jackman demanded in his contract.’

“And he said, ‘I don’t think we need to do it without your shirt.’ And I said, ‘Good!’ So when you see the movie, you’ll see,” he added.
