Hugh Jackman set to play Blackbeard in `Peter Pan` prequel?
Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has reportedly been approached to play pirate Captain Blackbeard in upcoming `Peter Pan` prequel, after actor Javier Bardem reportedly turned it down.

Los Angeles: Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has reportedly been approached to play pirate Captain Blackbeard in upcoming `Peter Pan` prequel, after actor Javier Bardem reportedly turned it down.
Blackbeard is believed to be the main villain while Captain Hook will be Peter Pan`s close ally before they get estranged later.
Ryan Gosling was among the candidates considered to take on the role of Hook, but he apparently rejected the offer, reported Variety.
Joe Wright is directing `Peter Pan`. The film will make its debut in theatres across the country on June 26, 2015.
