Los Angeles: Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio was not too interested, when he once once approached for to star in the `Batman` and `Star Wars` franchises.
The Academy-award-nominated star confirmed that he met with `Batman Forever` director Joel Schumacher for the part of Robin and George Lucas for the `Star Wars` prequels, but wasn`t enthusiastic about signing up for them, Shortlist reported online. "I never screen-tested. I had a meeting with Joel Schumacher. It was just one meeting and, no, I didn`t end up doing it... As I recall I took the meeting, but didn`t want to play the role. Joel Schumacher is a very talented director but I don`t think I was ready for anything like that," DiCaprio said. The 35-year-old actor said that "he didn`t feel ready to take that dive" when quizzed about being in talks to play Anakin Skywalker in the recent Star Wars films but has not ruled out playing a superhero in the future. "You never know. You never know. They`re getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven`t yet. But no, I don`t rule out anything," DiCaprio said. PTI
