Los Angeles:`Zero Dark Thirty` star Jason Clarke is in talks to join the cast of `Child 44`, a 1950s Soviet-era thriller.
The film is being directed by Daniel Espinosa, based on Richard Price`s adaptation of Tom Rob Smith novel.
The film already has a stellar cast in Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Paddy Considine and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer are producing the movie, now in production, via the Scott Free banner. Lionsgate is distributing, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Hardy plays a member of the Soviet military police who, while investigating a series of child murders becomes the target of his own government`s suspicions.
Clarke is being courted to play Brodsky who is accused by Hardy of being a traitor.
