Actress Dakota Johnson says the news of her casting as Anastasia Steele in the big screen adaptation of `Fifty Shades of Grey` left her in tears.

London: Actress Dakota Johnson says the news of her casting as Anastasia Steele in the big screen adaptation of `Fifty Shades of Grey` left her in tears. The 24-year-old actress, who had a small role in `The Social Network`, could not believe that she had been offered such a coveted role in the most awaited movie adaptation of E L James` erotic novel, reported Contactmusic.
"They (management) said `You got the offer` and I couldn`t speak. I was just so relieved. I was crying and crying. Water was literally squirting out of my eyes because I had been so stressed out," she said. Johnson, who is the daughter of actress Melanie Griffith, will star in the movie alongside Jamie Dornan as her lover Christian Grey. Universal and Focus Features` adaptation, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. Recently it was announced that the release date of the movie has been pushed to February 13, 2015 to coincide with the Valentine`s Day weekend.
