Los Angeles: India was her character`s spiritual destination in the movie `Eat, Pray, Love` but Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts made the most of her shoot by gorging on local delicacies.
Film`s India shoot concentrated on the spiritual path but Roberts says she had her "eat" adventures in India too.
The 42-year-old star shot parts of the movie, based on the memoirs of Elizabeth Gilbert in an ashram and Pataudi Palace in Gurgaon in September last year.
"It`s amazing how much Indian food you can eat in five weeks. I`m pretty picky and I really like Indian food. Just every once in a while, you run into something that is so amazingly spicy that you`re just sweating all through dinner," Roberts said.
The actress, who recently revealed that she is a practicing Hindu, also wore a saree for a scene in the movie.
The film, also starring James Franco and Oscar-winner Javier Bradem, releases in India next week.
