London: Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore says she is lucky to continue to get good movie roles, and doesn`t want to "fall into the ditch of not working".
The 50-year-old who is currently starring in `Crazy, Stupid, Love` with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling, hopes to get good roles so that she is never out of a job, reported Contactmusic.
"I feel tremendously grateful. I feel so lucky all the time to have had the opportunities that I`ve had, and that`s what I had hoped would happen when I started acting. You don`t want to fall into that ditch of not working, so I`m just trying to keep looking ahead and hope that the jobs keep coming." Moore said.
Despite her appearances in comedy films including `The Kids are All Right` and `The Big Lebowski`, the flame-haired star is not surprised if cinema-goers do not think of her as funny.
"Hopefully I`m funny in `Crazy, Stupid, Love`. I think I was funny in `The Kids are All Right` and `The Big Lebowski` and `Cookies Fortune`. Obviously the bulk of my 55 movies have leaned toward dramatic, but that doesn`t mean I don`t like comedy. I always say the older you get, the less appealing tragedy becomes," she said.
