Kate Beckinsale is set to step into Sharon Stone`s `Total Recall` role in an upcoming remake.

Los Angeles: Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale is set to step into Sharon Stone`s `Total Recall` role in her husband Len Wiseman`s upcoming remake.

The `Pearl Harbor` star`s moviemaker partner is updating the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger film with Colin Farrell in the lead role. Wiseman has now reportedly asked his spouse to step in to play Farrell`s onscreen wife, Lori, famously played by Stone in the original action blockbuster, according to Deadline. The movie is set to begin filming next month ahead of a planned 2012 release. PTI
