Kim Cattrall, Andrew McCarthy’s ‘Mannequin’ set for remake

London: ‘Sex and the City’ star Kim Cattrall and American actor Andrew McCarthy’s eighties movie ‘Mannequin’ is set for a remake.

Cattrall, 53, had played a showroom dummy who comes to life in the 1987 Michael Gottlieb film, reports the Daily Star.

And even though the movie became a cult hit, it was not received well by critics upon its release, and its sequel, ‘Mannequin 2: On The Move’, which came out in 1991 was dubbed as “one of the worst follow-ups ever made”.

According to, Gladden Entertainment bosses are “said to be in early development” on the remake with the new version featuring a lonely man who falls for a “laser display hologram”.
