Kristen Stewart says Twilight sex scenes were ‘surreal’
Washington: Kristen Stewart says she found it ‘surreal’ shooting sex scenes in the final two Twilight movies.
In the upcoming movie, her on-screen character Bella marries the vampire Edward Cullen – played by real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson – and the two finally consummate their relationship.
As the books in the Twilight Saga are strictly sex-less, everyone was eagerly awaiting some bedroom action in the Breaking Dawn movie.
“There are two big sex scenes in the two final films and we did them fairly early. It was so weird, it didn’t even feel like we were doing a scene within a ‘Twilight’ film,” Contactmusic quoted Stewart as saying.
“I was like, ‘Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?’ It was very surreal,” she said.
Film censors ordered the scenes to be re-cut as it was deemed too raunchy for the teen audience, but the actress says from her experience, the raunchy scenes were actually ‘tame’.
“It was tame! I’ve done my share of coming-of-age movies and the ratings board know who our audience is and can be like, ‘Hmm guys, just cool it a little’,” the Panic Room actress said.
“It’s funny because in the book, you don’t see anything, it’s everyone’s imagination, so it’s entirely subjective. I hope it’s good,” she added.
