London: Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo Dicaprio`s new sci-fi thriller `Inception` tallied top of US box office with debuting USD 60.4 million collection at the last weekend.
Director Christopher Nolan`s action thriller which sneaks into people`s dreams acted like a dream come true for Dicaprio as the movie marked the biggest opening weekend in the US, Contact music reported.
The movie now stands first in the row by beating Dicaprio`s previous movie `Shutter Island` which collected USD 41.1 million last year.
Funnyman Steve Carell`s animated comedy `Despicable
Me` ranked to second place with USD 32.7 million, raising it`s 10-day total to USD 118.4 million and Nicolas Cage`s Disney family adventure `The Sorcerer`s Apprentice` slides down to number three with USD 17.4 million, taking it`s five-day total to USD 24.5 million.
