Next James Bond flick to be canned in India!
Mumbai: The next super spy James Bond franchise is India bound. News has it that the 23rd film in the Bond series will be shot in and around Mumbai. Marked with financial upheavals since its inception, the film saw daylight when MGM announced shooting of the film later this year. And the flick will be released worldwide on November 9, 2012.
According to reports, Daniel Craig is back for his third turn as the secret agent, while Oscar winner Sam Mendes will direct the screenplay penned by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.
Sources informed that director Sam Mendes recently made a hush-hush visit to Mumbai along with production designer Terry Bamber for the film`s recce.
“The movie will be shot in Mumbai and Goa during the monsoon season on a month-long schedule," revealed a highly-placed source while talking to a daily.
The crew of Bond 23 is excited but also nervous for they believe the shooting will be a maddening affair given the massive fan following of the James Bond franchise in India.
India is lately becoming a hot pick for Hollywood filmmakers as after Tom Cruise’s MI4 and Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Night Rises’, Bond 23 becomes the latest to join the bandwagon.
