Nicolas Cage got mischievous shooting his latest film
Los Angeles: American actor Nicolas Cage had his mischievous side taking control while filming his latest movie `The Sorcerer`s Apprentice`, to make things interesting.
The Hollywood legend confesses playing the role of the titular sorcerer in the movie made him act in a childish way with his co-star Jay Baruchel as it made it more fun while on set, MTV News reported.
"I would say to Jay, `Are we in trouble yet?` It has to be like that. You have to have a bit of mischievous kid in the back of the classroom to make it interesting. I have to make it amusing for me, which means there has to be some level of mischief and public disruption," Cage said.
The 46-year-old star also admits he came up with the idea of a ring holding all of his power, although the movie bosses had different suggestions.
"I was in Hungary making another movie and I got a call from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub and they said, `We want you to maybe wear bracelets and hit these bracelets and that`s when the magic happens," he said.
"Interesting, but I said, `No, it has to be a ring because I have to use my hands.` It`s like conducting. I really wanted to be able to conduct the magic into happening. ... It`s more beautiful to use your hands than just smashing your wrists together," Cage added.
The movie is set to hit theatres worldwide throughout this month and August.
