Nothing is confirmed: Channing Tatum on `X-Men`

Actor Channing Tatum has not yet confirmed the rumours suggesting he is joining the `X-Men` film franchise.

Los Angeles: Actor Channing Tatum has not yet confirmed the rumours suggesting he is joining the `X-Men` film franchise.
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner recently suggested that an agreement had been reached for Tatum to play the card-throwing mutant Gambit in 2016`s `X-Men: Apocalypse`, reportedly. Tatum, 34, has publicly lobbied to play Gambit over the past few months, but he has now spoken out to clarify that a contractual agreement with 20th Century Fox has not yet been reached. "I hope to be joining - everything`s not done yet. I`ve obviously been in talks, and we`re on the one yard line. I`m always afraid of being like, `Yes, it`s totally happening` and then it doesn`t happen... I`m dying to do it," he said. Tatum was at the Cannes Film Festival to promote his new wrestling-themed drama `Foxcatcher`, which also stars Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.
