‘Paranormal Activity 3’ rakes in $54m at box office opening

Washington: ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ registered a massive 54 million-dollars opening at the box office.

According to Sunday studio estimates, the film was No. 1 at the box office, reports Fox News.

‘Paranormal Activity 3’ is the third of Paramount’s horror franchise, the previous edition of the film had also opened at the top spot a year ago grossing 40.7 million dollars.
The movie is actually is a prequel, based on the disturbing home-movie footage from 1988 and is directed by the director duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman of creepy documentary ‘Catfish’ fame.
