Perry explains Kim Kardashian casting in ‘Marriage Counselor’

Tyler Perry has defended his decision to cast Kim in ‘The Marriage Counselor’.

Washington: Director Tyler Perry has defended his decision to cast Kim Kardashian in his upcoming movie ‘The Marriage Counselor’.
Perry insists that he has cast Kardashian in the film because of the sway she has over the youth audience. The director further claimed that after seeing a photo of a young crowd piling up outside of one of the Kardashians’ Dash boutiques, he knew that he had to cast her in the movie. “I thought, ‘What better person?’ She literally has millions of young people following her. I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying. “If one of those young people see this film and find the strength to live a better life and not go through what these characters went through in this movie, then we have all done what I feel I’m being led to do here. I hope you understand. I really do!” he added. With Kim recently filing divorce to NBA player Kris Humphries with in 72 days of her marriage, fans of Perry have set up campaigns against her starring in the movie. Kardashian is currently in hideaway until she begins filming for the movie. ANI
