Pierce Brosnan to star in Stephen King’s ‘Bag of Bones’

London: Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has bagged a role on a TV series which will be based on one of Stephen King`s scariest books called ‘Bag of Bones.’

The 58-year-old, who became the fifth actor to portray the secret agent in the official film series, starring in four films between 1995 and 2002, will play the role of novelist Mike Noonan on the American adaptation of the 1998 book, reported Sun online.

It tells the story of an author who suffers terrible nightmares after the death of his wife and moves to their rural lake house to confront his fears.

He becomes involved in a custody battle while experiencing ghostly visitations.

Actress Annabeth Gish, known for playing Special Agent Monica Reyes on `The X-Files`, will also star in the series, which premieres in late 2011.

The shooting for the series has already started in Nova Scotia in Canada.
