Robert De Niro, John Travolta to star in `Killing Season`
Los Angeles: Actor-director Robert De Niro and John Travolta will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in the action movie `Killing Season`.
The movie, set in the Appalachian Mountains, is scheduled to begin production on January 16, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Director Mark Steven Johnson of `Ghost Rider` fame will direct the project and the script is written by Evan Daugherty who also wrote for `Snow White and the Huntsman`.
De Niro will play a military vet, living in a remote cabin, who is visited by an European tourist (Travolta), who turns out to be a former Serbian soldier looking for revenge.
Nu Image and Millennium, who are co-producing the film, said, "We`re excited to be co-financing and co-producing this film with Corsan and to be working again with Robert DeNiro and John Travolta. We`ve never seen these two great actors on screen together before, and we`re excited to see what comes of the combination."
