Washington: Actor-director Robert De Niro is set to share screen space with John Travolta for the first time in the upcoming action movie ‘Killing Season’.
De Niro will play an American military veteran in the action movie, which sees his alter-ego living in a remote cabin in the woods that is visited by a European tourist (Travolta) who wants to get revenge.
The pair strike up an unlikely friendship before descending into a one-on-one battle across the Appalachian Mountains.
Avi Lerner - co-chairman of production company Nu Image which is co-producing the film with Millennium - is “excited” to see the onscreen chemistry between the two stars.
“We’re excited to be co-financing and co-producing this film with Corsan, and to be working again with Robert De Niro and John Travolta,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
“We’ve never seen these two great actors on screen together before, and we’re excited to see what comes of the combination,” he added.
The movie will be directed by Mark Steven Johnson and written by Evan Daugherty, with Corsan Pictures and FilmEngine set to begin production on the project on January 16.
