London: His risque sense of humour has earned him plenty of brickbats, but comic Russell Brand may face further controversy thanks to a graphic scene in his new movie where he gives birth to an black baby.
Brand is filmed lying on a hospital bed screaming in pain during a sequence from `Get Him To The Greek` in which he plays a rockstar making a music video.
Film goers see the newborn delivered complete with umbilical cord and then handed to Brand who cradles the baby in his arms, reported Daily Mail online.
The 34-year-old remains tarnished from the crude phone call he made to Andrew Sachs during a BBC radio show in which he tells the `Fawlty Towers` actor that he had slept with his grand daughter. The gag resulted in him being fired from BBC.
His latest film, due to be released tomorrow , features the return of Brand as Brit rocker Aldous Snow , lead singer of fictitious band `Infant Sorrow`.
The reformed womaniser, who is due to marry `I Kissed a Girl` singer Katy Perry later this year, has received mixed reviews for his performance as the drug addled rocker.
"It`s a lot of hard work pretending to be a rock star but it went really, really well and it`s good. It`s like doing karaoke but everyone`s backing me up and telling me I`m good and laughing," he said in an interview.
