London: Sean Penn sat in stunned silence for 15 minutes after watching Javier Bardem`s portrayal of a cancer patient in `Biutiful`, says the film`s director.

The outspoken `Milk` actor became speechless after watching the Spanish-language film, which stars Bardem as a dying man trying to put his affairs in order for his two sons. "I showed it to him one year ago and he couldn`t walk, couldn`t talk for like 15 minutes because he was just sitting there," the Daily Express quoted filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu as telling a wesbite. "He couldn`t really put himself, his thoughts and his feelings together," he added. ANI
