Snoop Dogg to star in Richard Kimmel movie?

New York: Rapper Snoop Dogg is reportedly working on a movie project with theatre director Richard Kimmel and would himself star in the film as a nightclub owner.

The `Sensual Seduction` hitmaker, who has appeared in movies `Starsky & Hutch` as Huggy Bear and `Bruno` as himself, is good friends with Kimmel, who is managing partner at Lower East Side cabaret club The Box in New York City.

According to a source, Snoop and Richard "have been collaborating on the film, in which Snoop plays the owner of a hot nightclub", reported New York Post.

It is not the first time the 39-year-old hip hop star has wanted to appear on screen, as he once said he would like to land a role in US TV series `True Blood`.

"I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I`d be a hell of a vampire, don`t you think? So what`s happenin`? `True Blood`, get at me - Snoop Dogg wants to be a vampire," he said.

He has also starred in his own TV show `Snoop Dogg`s Father Hood` and played himself in `Entourage` and `Weeds`.
